fq040428-01 - Is there a way where we can emulate Ultra320 SCSI functionality using an adaptor with the E-Disk® SCSI Wide 3S40E flash drive?
If you have an Ultra320 SCSI controller, the 3S40E (Ultra Wide-compliant) flash drive should be able to connect to that controller directly without the need for an adaptor or emulator. Please note, however, that doing so will make the Low Voltage Differential (LVD) bus switch to Ultra SCSI (40 MB/sec burst) speeds.
The 3S40E drive, as well as the other drives connected to the same controller, will be able to burst up to a maximum of 40MB/sec. Adding an Ultra320 SCSI emulator (should one even exist) will not improve the speed of the E-Disk® 3S40E drive.
