fq040514-01 - Can the E-Disk® 3S40 burst at 40MB/s when connected to an SE SCSI Controller with Active Termination? 
QUESTION: Can the E-Disk® 3S40 drive burst data at 40MB/s when connected to a Single Ended controller with active termination? ANSWER: Yes, the E-Disk® 3S40 drive, when connected to a Single Ended SCSI controller with active termination, will have burst R/W rates of up to 40 MB/s. However, the maximum 40 MB/s burst rate will only be achieved if the SCSI controller is rated 40 MB/s up. Otherwise, the disk will perform according to the specification of the controller.
