fq040520-04 - Can the E-Disk® Support Single-Ended (SE) Signaling?

QUESTION:

If the E-Disk® 3S40 uses LVD signaling, can it support Single-Ended (SE) signaling?

ANSWER:

The E-Disk® 3S40 supports both LVD and SE signaling modes. The 3S40 attempts to operate in LVD mode upon power up but will switch to SE mode if another SE device is detected on the cable or if the cable does not support LVD transfers.
