QUESTION: Does the E-Disk® 3S40 SCSI Wide flash drive use active or passive terminators? ANSWER: The E-Disk® 3S40 drive uses active terminators since these work well with high-speed SCSI buses. Passive terminators, on the other hand, only work well with single-ended SCSI 1 with bus speed of 5 MB/s. They are not suitable for any modern SCSI speeds; they are rarely used today.
