The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) is a nonprofit group dedicated to advancing scientific research and engineering applications of optical, photonic, imaging, and optoelectronic technologies. It organized the DSS shows to highlight technologies that support homeland defense, including threat detection, surveillance and scanning, airport security, emergency response, law enforcement, and more.
According to show organizers, attendance increased 11% from last year to over 5,400 delegates. It also grew by some 13% to over 330 exhibitors. |
