Financial Executive Foresees Company Growth Potential in the Network Storage Industry
FREMONT, California -- Jan. 9, 2001 -- BiTMICRO Networks Inc., developer of high-performance flash disk, solid state disk and network storage solutions, Tuesday announced that Com 21 (Nasdaq:CMTO - news) Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer Dave L. Robertson has joined its advisory board.
"Dave Robertson's financial acumen and his broad range of experience make him an ideal advisory board member," said Rey H. Bruce, founder and chairman of the board of directors of BiTMICRO® Networks. "He is another highly qualified, visionary individual who will prove invaluable in guiding our company to growth and leadership in the network storage industry," added Bruce.
Robertson came to Com 21 from Endosonics Corp., a Nasdaq company, where he was the vice president of finance and administration. He has worked for both public and privately held companies as a senior executive officer, both as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. His industry experience includes medical products, biotech and telecommunications.
He helped found StrataCom and served as a board member for two years during its early stages. He was the CFO and vice president of finance for Packet Technologies.
"BiTMICRO Networks has the potential to establish the future direction for an important industry in my opinion," said Robertson. "Their storage area network (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS) products and plans are as exciting as they are innovative," he added.
Robertson is a certified public accountant, has a master of business administration degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington.
