BiTMICRO® Networks' Provides Vital Component in Elta's SAR Systems for Israel's Fighter Planes

FREMONT, California -- May 8, 2001 -- BiTMICRO Networks, Inc., a pioneer in intelligent storage, in partnership with Elta Electronics Industries Ltd., (Elta), a wholly owned subsidiary of Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd., provider of airborne self-contained podded reconnaissance SAR systems for military jet fighters, announces the application of their E-Disk^® in the podded SAR systems for fighter planes operated by various air-forces including the Israeli air-force.

Elta's airborne reconnaissance SAR systems cope with onboard real time SAR image generation of wide area coverage. This family of systems is highly flexible and feature automatic operations, along with digital recording of these SAR images.

The conditions these systems operate under makes it mandatory that these systems and their components meet very rigid requirements for the operating temperature range, vibration, shocks and power variation and exhibit extreme stability and durability.
