New Board Member Adds Deep Leadership Expertise to Firm, Specializing in

FREMONT, California -- Apr. 18, 2002 -- BiTMICRO Networks, Inc., a rapidly growing supplier of high performance solid state drive storage devices and storage management solutions, today announced the appointment of Wilbur Chan to BiTMICRO® Networks' board of directors.

Mr. Chan currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Uni-Asia Properties, Inc., as financial consultant for Andok's Litson Corporation and Royal Maverick Cedar Homes, as consultant on reserve affairs for the Department of National Defense and as Director of Manila Construction Supply. He was a former member of Philippine Postal Bank board of directors, and an investment consultant to the Social Security System of the Philippines.

Mr. Chan graduated from the Asian Institute of Management in 1986 with a Masters Degree in Business Management. He also earned his Masters Degree in National Security Administration from the National Defense College of the Philippines.
