Gordon Harris, Special Technology Advisor, Strengthens BiTMICRO's Position in the SAN and NAS Marketplace
FREMONT, California -- Apr. 23, 2002 --BiTMICRO Networks, Inc., a rapidly growing premier supplier of high performance E-Disk® solid state disk storage and management solutions, today announced the appointment of Gordon Harris to BiTMICRO® Networks' Special Technology Advisory Board. Mr. Harris will lead the execution of the company's revolutionary E-Disk solid state storage solutions marketing and integration strategy in the storage networking world.
"BiTMICRO is fortunate to have an individual of Gordon's caliber to help guide our organization in the coming years. He is a world-class executive whose extensive industry knowledge and experience will be invaluable in rolling out our next-generation solid state storage solutions. He will play a key role in steering our company on its drive to profitability while sustaining technology leadership and superiority," said Rey Bruce, CEO and Chairman of BiTMICRO®.
Gordon Harris currently sits on the Board of Directors and/or advisory board for three pre-IPO storage centric high-tech companies. He also continues to research advanced file system applications.
Gordon previously worked as the Vice President of NAS Advanced Development at EMC where he oversaw next generation new product development, business development activities, and cross functional special projects for the storage leader.
Gordon co-founded CrosStor Software in 1990, where he served as Vice President of R&D and CTO. Gordon was responsible for the architecture of CrosStor's storage operating system, high-performance file system, volume managers, and stackable storage infrastructure. CrosStor was sold to EMC in 2000.

"solid state Storage Devices (SSD's) are well positioned to make a dramatic impact on the general-purpose storage market. With the every increasing size of individual disks, storage OEM's are struggling with how to maintain high IOPs for their storage arrays. BiTMICRO® is the premier provider of high-speed Flash SSD devices that plug into a storage vendors existing cabinet. I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to work with BiTMICRO," commented Gordon Harris.
Gordon has a Masters of Computer Science degree from New York University's Courant Institute and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
