COTS Journal and RTC Magazine Publisher Warren Andrews Joins BiTMICRO Networks Technology Advisory Board

Leading Embedded and High Tech Guru will Lend Expertise to the Company that Bridges Solid State Flash Disk with High Speed Computing Devices

FREMONT, California -- Sep. 30, 2002 -- BiTMICRO Networks, a pioneer in intelligent flash disk ATA/IDE, SCSI and Fibre Channel solid state disk (SSD) storage solutions, today announced the appointment of Warren Andrews to their Technology Advisory Board as the company continues its aggressive expansion and leadership role in delivering high performance, highly reliable and scalable solid state storage solutions.

"Our Technology Advisory Board plays a very active role in building our company. Warren will add to that brain trust. We are very delighted to have him on board," said Rey Bruce, Founder and Chairman of BiTMICRO. " He is a world-class executive whose extensive industry knowledge and leadership experience can assist us in rolling out our family of next-generation products and help us find the right kinds of partnerships."

Mr. Andrews is the editorial director and publisher/associate publisher of RTC magazine, the most respected monthly magazine in the embedded-computer industry. He also founded COTS Journal, a leading publication in the military/government electronics market.

Prior to joining the RTC Group, Mr. Andrews worked with Computer Design, Electronic Design, and EE Times in various capacities in addition to his own newsletter, InfoBus Report which he published for over 10 years. In addition, he has published several marketing/technology studies including landmark volumes on the "Bus and Board Market," and "PCI, its Markets and Technology."

Before joining the fourth estate in 1980, Mr. Andrews owned his own engineering and manufacturing company where he designed microprocessor-based switching systems for the retail and lodging industries. He is also the developer of several unique products for the security and automotive industries, and holds a US Patent for one of his inventions.

Mr. Andrews has been the keynote speaker at the PCI SIG annual meeting, is a regular speaker at the annual Bus and Board Conference, and is often invited to participate at company-specific events with companies including Motorola, Wind River Systems and Zilinx.

Mr. Andrews is currently on the Board of Directors of SBS Technologies (SBSE: NASDAQ) and on the board of advisers of StarGen, Inc. He holds a BS degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Mr. Andrews said, "I am really excited about BiTMICRO and its innovative technology and products that defy the conventional logic of solving the systems need for more and more bandwidth. I am joining this board because I believe that BiTMICRO solutions will have a great impact on the storage industry and will be the basis for the next big paradigm shift. I want to be a part of their pioneering endeavor."
