E-Disk® By BiTMICRO® Powers Up Dy 4's Dual Channel- Fibre Channel PMC-643 Network Interface Card

DSEi Conference, London, UK - 09 September 2003 - At the Defense Systems and Equipment International (DSEi), BiTMICRO Networks, Inc., a pioneer in intelligent flash solid state disk (SSD) storage solutions and Dy 4 Systems, Inc. a leader in leading-edge embedded solution today announced a key milestone in its alliance. Through the integration of Dy 4's PMC-643 Dual Channel Fibre-Channel Network Interface Card (NIC) with BiTMICRO®' s E-Disk® Fibre Channel solid state disk, Dy 4 is able to deliver a powerful best-in -class rugged storage solution.

PMC-643 is designed for defense and aerospace applications where high system throughput, speed and reliability are needed. The PMC-643 doubles the data transfer rate of many existing PMC modules to 400MBytes/sec. By incorporating the Qlogic ISP2312 intelligent FC controller. Total throughput is 2Gbits/sec., via the front panel or 1Gbit/sec., through the backplane on rugged, conduction-cooled models. In addition, the new PMC-643 maximizes true high-speed communications capacity by connecting to the host basecard through a 64-bit, 66MHz PCI bus. By verifying the interoperability between the Dy 4 PMC-643 and BiTMICRO Networks, Inc.'s E-Disk®, customers can be assured of a seamless software development effort.

BiTMICRO® Networks E-Disk® Fibre Channel products deliver a solid solution for data storage and protection while providing the powerful performance and speed today's data-intensive applications demand. They feature patented FlashBusTstorage technology to speed performance, eliminate system bottlenecks, and offer durable storage for easy installation and start-up. E-Disk® requires no device drivers for installation and operation, and boasts random I/O rates of up to 40,000 IOPS, duplex burst read/write rate of up to 400 MB/sec, sustained random read/write rate of up to 180 MB/sec, and capacities of up to 34.8 GB.

"We believe in working closely with our partner, Dy 4 to be able to deliver cost effective solution to the market," states Jake Pasion, Director of Sales for BiTMICRO Networks, Inc.

BiTMICRO® Networks have worked with Dy 4 every step of the way to ensure success in the delivery of this solution to the market. Both companies have proven that collaboration is indeed worthwhile especially if both organizations have a common objective - delivering quality solutions for the mission critical requirements of the market today.

"By collaborating more with our partners like Dy 4, we are able to help them become successful, their success is ours as well," adds Rudy Bruce, President, BiTMICRO Networks, Inc.

BITMICRO Networks, Inc. is currently participating at the on-going Defense Systems and Equipment International Show (DSEi) from 09 - 12 September 2003 at London, UK, booth number 145.
