BiTMICRO Networks Completes First Customer Shipment of the E-Disk® Altima™ SCSI Narrow Solid State Drive

December 02, 2009 — BiTMICRO Networks, a pioneer in intelligent flash solid-state drive solutions, announces the First Customer Shipment (FCS) of its 2.5-inch E-Disk^® Altima^™ SCSI Narrow solid state drive (SSD).

The E-Disk^® Altima^™ E2S20BL solid state drive delivers solid state performance and rugged storage reliability for data recorders used in defense, aerospace, and other industrial applications subjected to harsh operating conditions. The compact, 2.5-inch solid state drive can be used as embedded storage for remote storage applications with up to 20 GB capacity at 9.5mm height (300 GB maximum). The E-Disk^® Altima^™ E2S20BBL model can operate from -40 to +85 deg C and is projected to handle burst data transfer rates of up to 20MB/sec, sustained transfer rates of up to 16MB/s and up to 16,000 IOPS using time proven SCSI technology.
