Configurable ECC Threshold
|
A feature of all BiTMICRO-developed firmware that remaps a block memory when the number of correctable errors for that block reaches a user configurable threshold value. Tuning this parameter minimizes the frequency of remapping blocks that exhibit a correctable error count less than the threshold. It also reduces the probability that certain blocks that have correctable errors greater than the threshold will turn into blocks with uncorrectable errors. |
