PowerGuard^® Technology is patented feature of our drives that provides backup power via supercapacitors to support various data integrity and security functions in the event of power loss. PowerGuard^® Technology is available in three modes:

Save Mode, which is a data integrity feature that preserves the volatile data on your cache when power is lost.

Erase Mode, which is a security feature that allows the user to set the drive to perform the securErase^® function when power is lost, permanently erasing the data on the drive. Erase Mode includes the Save Mode feature. Read more about the securErase feature here.

Standby Mode is a security feature that allows the user to physically remove the drive from external power and transport it for an extended period of time. The drive can be erased at any time by means of a switch at the user's discretion
